What is The Root Project

The Root Project is a vision for what I believe is the best way to celebrate and remember our loved ones. The bases of it falls on what are called MILESTONE VIDEOS. These are interviews done with your family members, where I come into their home, or wherever they feel most comfortable, and we talk about their life up until that point, but also beyond that point. This could mean talking about their childhood, career path, social life, or hopes for the future, the possibilities are quit literally endless. 

Think about these as time stamps in peoples life, and not as end-of-life information grabs. What happens is you are able to see what that person looked like, sounded like, and was at that point in their life. And the more Milestone Videos you do, the more you are able to encapsulate who that person is.

At the end of the day this is no different than a family photo or wedding video, we are capturing the moment and investing the time so that future generations are able to remember your family, and cherish the stories that they have to tell. I’ve been doing this with my family since 2018, amounting over 50 interviews with all my family members, and when I look back at the time I invested into sitting and hitting that record button, it’s all worth it, no doubt about that.
